
Cypress, Texas — Fourteen members of the Cypress Ranch Key Club have earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The award is presented to students and other citizens who perform 100+ service hours in a calendar year. The award comes with a certificate and letter from President Barack Obama, as well as a pin rewarding recipients for their hard work and dedication to helping others. The President’s Volunteer Service Award is categorized into three levels of service (Gold, Silver and Bronze) and is awarded based on the number of service hours performed and the age of the recipient.
Key Club members achieving the Gold level award were: Corrie Andrews, Justin Bradley, Alexandria Cathey, Molly Godinich, Brittany Holcombe, Ashley Martin, Clayton Marshall, David Verastegui, John Weiser and Megan White. Kayla Kluetz earned the Silver award, and the Bronze award was earned by three members: Ahalee Cathey, Megan Iselin, and Niraj Shah.
