New information on HTCs plans for 2014 points to more One M8 variants being launched in the near future, including two new variants named Plus and Advance, making their way to market in the second half of 2014.

The HTC One M8 has been out for a few months and we have already heard rumors of the One M8 Prime and Mini. The One M8 Prime might be named the HTC One M8 Plus for commercial purposes and the Advance might be the HTC One E8.

Starting with the Plus, this is meant to be HTCs hidden pocket move when 2K displays and better smartphones start hitting the market, considering they took a gamble with the One M8’s display and internals lasting a full year.

The One M8 Plus will feature the same metal unibody design but will not come with the Duo Camera, instead putting a 13MP camera on the back of the device, although this rumor has had some conflict as @evleaks showed a shot of the phone sporting the Duo Camera.

Internally the Plus will be a step up from the HTC One M8 too, sporting a Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. This is not that huge, but the big news is it will also feature a 2K display with the most pixel density on any device available.

Moving onto the Advanced, named the HTC One E8, this will be a Chinese product that has the same internals as the One M8, but comes in a plastic shell. This phone does not have the Duo Camera available on the HTC One M8 and it looks like a small downgrade from the original.

It looks like HTC still has more to give in 2014, even with the original, Mini and E8 already being announced. We are excited to see some of HTCs new products, they are reportedly building a smartwatch running Android Wear, hopefully a challenger to the Moto 360.
