It is rumored that Motorola is producing the next Nexus smartphone in collaboration with Google. 9to5Google leaked a render image of the ‘Moto Nexus’ codenamed Shamu – which will be the first ever smartphone to debut with the new Android version known as Android L.
The rumored Moto Nexus is said to feature a 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440 display with 498 PPI, a 2.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, 32GB of internal storage and 3200 mAh battery. And last but not least, Android L.
Motorola recently released the Moto X, along with Moto 360 and Moto E. All these devices were greatly appreciated by critics; The Verge said that Moto X ‘could be the best phone ever made’. We can say that Motorola is getting stronger by every passing day, and if they are to introduce the next Nexus smartphone, it is safe to say that it will be a hit.
‘Nexus’ devices are considered as Google’s flagship products, and Google refer them as devices with ‘Pure Google Experience’. The first ever Nexus device was released in January 2010, when Google and HTC officially released the Nexus One. It was definitely a good looking and strong device of its time. The previous two Nexus smartphones were manufactured by LG – Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. Nexus 5 is still highly appreciated in the market, and it definitely gave LG a new respect in the market.
Android Authority reported that Android L will be officially released in mid-October, and it is usually Google’s tradition to introduce a new version of Android with a new Nexus smartphone. We are also looking forward to Nexus 9 as well – an Android powered tablet from HTC. We are hoping to hear about the new ‘Nexus’ like within the next few weeks.
