Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) is again in rumors for its upcoming flagship smartphone iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Kevin Wong, Chief Executive at IHS Technology, who has a history of making accurate predictions about the Cupertino giant, has made yet another announcement that the upcoming iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are going to have a 12 MP rear camera.
It is without a doubt that by bumping the camera from 8MP to 12MP would significantly increase the image quality, however, Mr. Wong noted that the new camera is expected capture images with lower pixel density. Even though high pixel density leads to high-resolution images, lower pixel density can lead to better and less noisy photographs in low light situations.
Apart from that, another analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, earlier this week made few other speculations about the upcoming flagship device, which were also confirmed by Mr. Wong.
Mr. Kuo noted out nearly 12 features in a private meeting with investors. As per the reports, the upcoming iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are going to add yet another dimension with Force Touch, which is a technology introduced by Apple in Watch and MacBook’s trackpad to sense the pressure applied.
Another speculation was that the company is going to launch a Rose Gold variant of the iPhone, however, there are no reports of whether it will be made out by carving the precious metal, or by altering the specially crafted aluminum. If it’s to be made out of gold, then we can expect the price to lie somewhere near $20,000.
Apple Inc, a few days ago, was also in news for developing a new form of aluminum that would help increase the tensile strength of its products. Apparently, the same metal composition will be used in upcoming flagships to avoid the #Bendgate.
Previous rumors suggested that the company is also going to launch an iPhone 6C wrapped in plastic body, however, analysts are in least favor of it.
