Well it seems that mankind has taken its small step, scientists has achieved reliable teleportation for the first time with tiny bits of data. Scientists in the Netherlands have accomplished a breakthrough in quantum teleportation. The results of the experiment were published in the journal Science this Thursday. Physicists at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience at Delft University have managed to teleport quantum information across two bits of diamond kept 3 meters apart.
Well it may not be exactly as the process of teleportation shown in Star Trek but if successful it will have a big step in the accurate teleportation of quantum information and also in the creation of quantum networks which will be many times powerful and more secure than the most powerful supercomputers in existence today.
