Acer new Chromebook 13, announced and available to hit the stores for pre-sale on Monday, which has an advanced Nvidia Tegra K1 processor. As the name suggests the new Acer Chromebook 13 has a 13.3-inch screen display with a 0.71 inches sleek white polycarbonate body that weighs almost 3.3 pounds.

The Nvidia Tegra K1 is a powerful mobile quad-core processor with an excellent performance and is particularly suitable for graphics having 192-core GPU. The battery life has an average of 13 hours, a significant advantage over other Chromebooks.

Configurations of Acer Chromebook 13: –

  • It has a fast 16GB Sold State Drive with 2GB memory. The new Acer Chromebook 13 CB5-311-T9B0, has a 1,920 x 1,080 full HD display. It is well-priced at $299.99 and is available now for pre-sale at BestBuy.com, Inc. (NYSE: BBY).
  • The Acer Chromebook 13 CB5-311-T1UU, has a 32GB Solid State Drive with a 4GB memory. It has a 1,920 x 1,080 full HD display. Its price is $379.99 and is available now for pre-sale at Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN).
  • The Acer Chromebook 13 CB5-311-T7NN has a 2GB of memory with 1,366 x 768 display, and a fast 16GB Solid State Drive. It costs upto $279.99 and is available now for pre-sale at Amazon.com.
  • Acer is also offering commercial and education sector model. The model has a 4GB of memory with a 1,366 x 768 display and a fast 16GB SolidState Drive. It will be available at $329.99.

The customers will be gifted with two major choices. Those who wants a budget-friendly model can opt for a lower resolution display (1,366×768) or by spending some more bucks they get the HD version (1,366×768).

With all these excellent configurations what makes the customers notable is something that it lacks: a cooling fan. Chromebook 13 is totally fan-less because of the thermal properties of the Tegra K1 processor. This technology is currently used in the Nvidia Shield tablets. According to the Acer team, the processor is so cool that it doesn’t need a fan.
