A brand-new app, coming in August, will let potential purchasers customize their ZX Flux shoes with their Instagram pictures, announced Adidas on Friday.

In just a few months, Adidas customers would be able to order a pair of shoes on which they’ll be able to flaunt their own creative snaps in the real world as well as online.

Company would release a mobile app this summer that lets owners of its ZX Flux shoes print out new shoe patterns based on their Instagram pictures. Adidas is all set to bring Instagram to your feet, by allowing you to showcase your best selfie on your shoes. The app would be named “miadidas”.

Adidas Originals just released a teaser video on Instagram giving a sneak peak of the new service (miadidas) via that will allow you to have your own Instagram photos printed directly on to your shoes. “ARE YOU READY? Take the #zxflux to the next level with the ultra-innovative photo print app from #miadidas. Print your favorite photos straight on to one of 2014’s hottest silhouettes and make a statement on your sneakers like never before. Rolling-out on iPhone and Android from August 2014. The possibilities are limitless,” reads Adidas’ Instagram post about the app and shoes.

However there is no news on the price of miadidas. Whether it will cost anything more than the vanilla ZX Flux shoes, which currently run for $85 or $90, is still not clear. Nike, one of the biggest competitors of Adidas, already lets customers buy individually customized shoes via its Nike iD program for an additional fee, which can vary depending on how many changes they make.

Brands have given customers the ability to customize and personalize their shoes for more than a decade, but this is absolutely game changing. Never has anyone been able to personalize a shoe to this level,” said Matt Halfhill, of the Nice Kicks sneaker blog. The “miadidas” app is slated for August 2014 release on iPhone and Android. However details on exactly how the app works are still unclear.
