While we are just few hours away from the announcements, some of the reports for the upcoming and first smartphone from Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) states that it is coming exclusively with the AT&T. A report from the Wall Street Journal stated that the device be only coming with the AT&T carrier only, and the buyers won’t be having the freedom to choose any other carrier.
Both the companies, AT&T and Amazon, are doing business for a very long time, all the Internet services required by the Kindle Fire devices is being fulfilled by AT&T network only and so it is without any doubt that the carrier will have more preference than any other in the US. The first ever smartphone from the company is expected to reflect some of the outstanding features any smartphone has ever seen. It is being speculated that the device would feature a screen capable of displaying 3D without the need of separate 3D glasses and just like the Kindle Fire, this upcoming device will also be running a highly customized Android OS.
Amazon Kindle smartphone will feature a 4.7-inch QHD display, powerful Qualcomm processor with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB with a micro SD card slot.
Since the device has not in been in the hands of developers or any beta testing, it is relatively hard to confirm the specs and features of this upcoming phone. However, a video that was uploaded by Amazon a week ago gave a clear indication that the new Amazon Kindle smartphone will have extraordinary features.
Apple and Samsung smartphones are most tempting to buyers, and it would be interesting to see if Amazon gives them a tough competition with this innovative technology in smartphones. We are just few hours away from the launch event, and will update you with the news.
