Apple Inc, (NASDAQ: AAPL) fixing major issues that came along the iOS 8 and iOS 8.0.1 update, launched a new iOS 8.0.2 update within 24 hours of the release of iOS 8.0.1. Cupertino giant was able to sell over 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, however, failed to make them work properly. The iOS 8.0.1 update brought down Apple devices’ performance to its knees.
The new iOS 8 update restricted its users from making a call or sending a text. The device was very sluggish with Wi-Fi connection and was unable to receive cellular signals. Above all, users were not able to unlock their device as the update disabled the Touch ID on more than 40,000 devices. However, company allowed its users to revert to the old iOS 8 while they fix the current issues in it
Cupertino giant promised to launch another version of its flagship mobile OS in coming few days; however, users were able to download it within 24 hours iOS 8.0.1 was released. This new update was able to fix all the issues, and nuisance users had to face.
Apple said, “iOS 8.0.2 is available now. It fixes the loss of cellular service and use of Touch ID that may have affected you if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you downloaded iOS 8.0.1,” Apple wrote. “It includes improvements and bug fixes originally in iOS 8.0.1. We apologize for inconveniencing you if you were affected by the bug in iOS 8.0.1.”
People are still complaining about sluggish Wi-Fi and apps crashing, including Facebook and Instagram app, in the new iOS 8.0.2. However, the bugs are not affecting 4S, 5 5S and 5C but only the iPhone 6 duos. People using the previous generation of iPhone did not report any issues regarding the iOS 8.0.1 update.
