Apple Inc, (NASDAQ: AAPL) will now finally release its latest flagship smartphone duo; Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, in China. Chinese Government has now approved the Cupertino Giant to sell its latest smartphone in the mainland China.
It is without a doubt, that the launch of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will end the wait of many Apple fans, however, the Chinese government did a lot to make sure that the new Apple iPhone is protected from the prying eyes of the spying agencies and is capable of keeping the user data safe.
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be on sale in China on October 17, and Apple is going to take the pre-orders starting Oct 10. However, getting an approval from Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was a bumpy ride for the Apple Inc. The government raised so many security issues that were not in favor of the company.
The ministry said that they are worried about the diagnostics tools company provide to debug and repair its devices. It is possible that the repair representative can compromise users’ data when it is connected to the computers.
However, Apple made it clear that the new advanced encryption methodologies in the iOS 8 are technically impossible to break. The Chinese ministry made its final approval when the company itself proved that no one can access the data residing on the user’s device without a prior concern from the owner itself. Apple said that the company does not entertain or share users’ data with other government organizations and spying agencies.
“What the ministry tests to give this license has nothing to do with the warnings they included about these holes in security,” said Wang Yanhui, secretary of the China Mobile Alliance, a semiofficial organization that facilitates communication between the Chinese government and mobile phone companies in China.A
