Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) has now launched a new update for the Facebook for iOS. All users on iPad and iPhone can now download the update and enjoy a hassle free performance that goes along with the new iOS 8. The social networking giant was forced to update its app to optimize the app performance in the new Apple iOS 8 environment.
Adam Mosseri, Product Management Director of Facebook, said, “Facebook for iOS 8 will have an improved experience for people who want to share content from other apps to Facebook. By simply tapping the share icon and selecting Facebook, you can choose to share a link to a website from your browser, photos or videos from your camera roll, and content from other apps. Facebook for iOS 8 will have an updated share screen similar to what you already see in the Facebook app. From there, you can select the audience you want to share with, add a location, say what you’re doing, or tag friends.”
The app didn’t receive any significant changes. However, it has received some that makes it lot easier to share new content on the timeline. Facebook on iOS now allows you to share a link to a website in the browser by simply tapping the share icon and then by selecting Facebook. The same goes with the images, videos and other files staying in the device.
However, Adam Mosseri also included that the company is constantly involved in bringing new features for the users on either of the platforms, and will continue to roll out updates with better features and performance. With the iOS 8 Facebook update, the user can control the location information and information services.
