Google Glass to go on sale for 24 hours

Google ( NASDAQ : GOOG ) has announced to open the sales of Google Glass for everyone living in the United States but unfortunately the company has refrained itself from selling this head wearable to other countries, including the UK.

Google said that the company is going to put the Google Glass on sale next week. The time window for placing Glass orders is limited for 24 hours. Glass, with a price tag of $1500 + taxes, will be on sale next Tuesday, April 15th at 6 AM PDT.

Google said, Whoops. So… we’d planned to post this next week, but it looks like the cat’s out of the bag now. Over the past several months, we’ve been trying out different ways to expand the Explorer program. Some of you signed up at Google I/O, some told us what you would do #ifihadglass , some were referred by a friend, some joined through their school or university. Our Explorers are moms, bakers, surgeons, rockers, and each new Explorer has brought a new perspective that is making Glass better. But every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too. So in typical Explorer Program fashion, we’re trying something new.”

Google has about 30,000 people around the world as Google Glass Explorer. Google used to invite people around the world to be a part of Google Glass Explorer, but this time the company has opened the doors for everyone willing to have this innovative head wear. Powered with Android, Google Glass is being offered with different shades and frames, instead Google has partnered with a number of brands, including Ray Ban.

Google Glass is not just limited to programmers or developers, infact Glass Explorers are from different diversities and professions and with more number of people joining it, Google tends to receive their feedback on this product and improve it further.
