Just before the Google I/O, which runs from 25 June, we have been hit with the reports about the upcoming generation of Nexus devices. It has been rumored that HTC will manufacture the next version of Nexus tablet — Nexus 9, and seems to have better specs than in the previous editions manufactured by the ASUS.

The device will house a screen with a resolution of 2048X1440 pixels with a density 281 PPI. It will be the first time that the Nexus line of devices will have a powerful 64-bit NVIDIA TEGRA chipset in them. There will a front camera of 3.2MP and 8MP rear camera with image stabilization and like always it will also be available in 16GB and 32GB storage options.

Google is also planning to place it among the top premium devices by raising the price to $399 for 16GB variant and $499 for32GB variant. Though it will burn an extra hole in the buyers’ pockets, the Internet giant wants to give tough competition to the Apple Inc.

It without any doubt that all new Nexus tablet 9, which will ship with the Android Silver running,  will beat the older version of it in terms of both the performance and durability. Although there is no confirmation about when this device will be launched, it has been reported that the Google will announce it during its annual event Google I/O and will start shipping right after it.

Apart from that HTC is also planning manufacture the Nexus 6 smartphone, which soon be released later this year. The Nexus 6 smartphone will have a sleek design and will packed with great features. However, Google has been reported to refrain itself from putting Android Silver on to the Nexus 6. It will only be limited to other manufacturers and the Nexus 9 tablet. The great news here is that both the Nexus, smartphone and tablet, will be having sensors to track the user’s health.
