According to some recent reports from The Wall Street Journal, Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) in its famous X labs, is working on a project which is about modular displays, combining them just like a LEGO toy, it will turn into a screen of any size, says report. Many of the greatest products are only a result of research from Google X Labs.

However, there is no name that has been given to the project, but it can be the next LEGO-screen capable of forming the display of any size and shape. It has been reported that the scientists are working on this project to develop modules of different shapes and sizes. Eliminating the traditional square and rectangle shaped the screens, the Mountain View giant will present a screen that can be converted into almost anything.

However, the tough goal here would be to make the screen work together without any additional border if not so, the screen would be nothing except few monitors connected together.

The project seems to be imaginary, but it is currently under process at the Google X labs. The project is currently under the lead of MIT professor Mary Lou Jepsen; She has been greatly known for the project “One Laptop Per Child,” as well the recent project, Pixel Qi.
