Yet after so many exciting features announced about upcoming iOS 8 and Mac OS X at the WWDC, we are now ready for the iPad Air 2. The latest addition to iPad family will be running on the latest iOS 8 and is expected to launch in coming few months and is expected to be the most advanced iPad Apple has ever manufactured.
iPad Air was a success for Apple. It received a lot of praise from the critics, but now the question, how the iPad Air 2 will perform in the market? If we talk about the rumored specs of it, the new Air 2 will feature Apple A8 processor, which will definitely increase its overall speed and performance. It will also have Touch ID, the fingerprint scanner which was first introduced in the iPhone 5S, and 8 megapixel camera on the back. The prediction came from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
We think the upgraded iPad Air will be launched earlier in 2014 than the iPad Air was in 2013. The biggest changes will be A8 processor, Touch ID (fingerprint recognition), and main camera resolution of 8MP.
It is most likely that it will feature a 64-bit A8 processor, rumors suggested that the Apple is expected to integrate desktop class Intel Chipsets into the next generation iPads. The leaked picture of iPad Air 2 front panel reflected that the next iDevice will house integrated screen, which will eventually leave room for a large battery.
About the release date, Kuo is predicting that it will be released later this year. Apple is expecting to launch the new iDevice by the end of this year, also the price for the iPad Air 2 is expected to cost around $500, which is the current price of the iPad Air.
