Before the grand unveiling of LG G3 in less than a week, LG has released another official teasing video revealing the sneak peek of what LG calls a Quick Circle Case for the upcoming G3 flagship phone. This is a folder style case that will allow the users to access various features of the phone without opening the case and unlocking the phone.
With the Quick Circle Case closed users can place calls, send text messages, check the time, take photos, get an update of their health or listen to music directly from the circular window.
This case has replaced the traditional rectangular windowed cases with a circular one and comes with name “Smart Lighting”, as LG names it. A circular soft white colored glow is emitted from the window when the case is opened and closed or whenever a call or a text message is received.
LG will offer this Quick Circle Case in five different colors: Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Aqua Mint and Indian Pink. The case design provides a firm grip over the G3 and also protects the side edges maintaining the original sleek lines.
To allure you more it also offers wireless charging through the built-in Qi compatibility. To add more details, LG will be providing an SDK next month, this will help the developers to tap into the system and add customized functions using the Quick Circle Case.
“The smartphone ecosystem is constantly evolving – no longer are cases just for protection from the elements and bumps and drops. They’re the perfect accessory to build in extra features that add more value to a mobile device. With QuickCircle Case, we’ve exceeded the baseline by making it customizable to better fit users’ needs,” declared Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
The official specs of LG G3 revealed earlier include 5.5-inch Quad HD display screen, a Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor along with 3GB of RAM and will be featured with a 13MP rear camera. The LG G3 will be revealed on 27th of May and will be in stores shortly. The pricing is not yet revealed.
