Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is now further delaying the launch of XBox One on the China. Following the lift of China’s ban on gaming consoles, company announced to launch all new Xbox One in the country on 23rd September. However, the Redmond giant delayed the launch, and now is expected to come by the end of this year.

According to a press release from the Microsoft, the company will launch the console by the end of this year. Microsoft stated that, “Despite strong and steady progress, we are going to need a bit more time to deliver the best experiences possible for our fans in China.” However, even with the delay, the company is still going to host the launch event, and will provide Xbox One to play games. Microsoft will also give away 100 consoles.

Corporate Vice President Yusuf Mehdi added that Microsoft is “thrilled with the response we’ve seen in China, including pre-orders beyond our expectations and growing anticipation of our launch.”

However, there is no final date, and the company is expected to delay it further. Microsoft is already working with IPTV partner BEST TV to accomplish the end of the year goals. A few of the reports suggest that the company is going to delay it further.

“At Xbox, we pride ourselves on delivering first-rate gaming and entertainment experiences, and to allow us to deliver on that promise, we need to reschedule the launch of Xbox One,” a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement. “Working with our partner, BesTV, we look forward to launching in China by the end of this year.”

“We are excited to bring game and entertainment innovation to China,” said Mehdi, “We have an ambitious vision, and we’re working hard with our partners to deliver Xbox One and great games and entertainment to China.”
