The debate of Barack Obama’s place of birth still lingers in the minds of many.  A new poll shows that 40% of voters think that their is “cause to wonder” and nearly 25% believe Obama was not born in the United States.  This question stems from the U.S. Constitution that clearly states that only “natural born citizens” are eligible to be the president.

Despite the administration’s stance that Obama was born in Hawaii and millions of dollars spent on this position the question still resides in the minds of Independents, Republicans and Democrats.  The failure by the administration to provide an original “long-form” birth certificate to put this issue to rest has led many to question the truth.

Families that have adopted internationally instantly recognize the “Certificate of Live Birth” certificate that the administration has released.  Children not born in the United States are routinely issued this form of birth certificate.

The Fox News poll interviewed 914 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide under the direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research  (R) from April 3 -April 5 with a margin of error of +/- 3%.
