Google has been rumored about adding another device in its Nexus line, Nexus 6. Coming with better perfomance, analyst claims that Nexus 6 is going to be much better than the current Nexus 5. Although Google acknowledged battery drain issues and soon will be rolling a fix for it, juice for Nexus 5 batteries doesn’t stay for more than 7 hours.
Talking about the specs of Nexus 6, it is expected to have a 6-inch screen, an awesome camera supporting 2K resolutions and 64bit processor, which has only been introduced in Apple iPhone 5S . It would be surprising to see if Google follows up the trend to integrate a finger print sensor.
While there is not much of information available on Nexus 6, Google is planning to ‘wow’ its customers with upcoming variants of Nexus tablets. The company is expected to launch an upgraded version of Nexus 7 with a very new Nexus 8.9 large-size tablet. With a screen size of 8.9 inches, this device lot more things to count on. Beating Apple Retina display, Google is rumored for bringing this tablet with a 2K resolution.
In a report Digitimes stated, “Although Google may still release a smaller-size model in 2014, its strategy of skipping most of the sizes in the 8-inch range and going for an 8.9-inch display – a size that [could] be categorized as large-size tablet (9-inch and above) – shows that the Internet giant is starting to shift its focus to large-size tablet applications.”
While the devices are very much expected to run Google’s latest Android 5.0 operating system, the company will be introducing them at Google I/O scheduled for June 25-26. Although price is unknown, we can expect it to be in around the current prices of Nexus devices, may be slightly more than that.
Rounding up for the rumors, Google today brought Nexus 5 smartphones and Nexus 7 tablets to the other remaining European countries. Introducing the devices in play store of European countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal and Sweden, Nexus devices are now available to buy.
This elegant piece of device from Google, stuffed with the latest Android 4.4 and developer options is available in three colors—- Red, White or Black, with storage capacities of 16 GB and 32 GB. While Nexus 5 starts from €349, Nexus 7 is starting from a price tag of €229 in the European countries.
I hope they don’t go any bigger than 5″ for the Next Nexus phone. If they do release a phablet, let’s hope they do it alongside a 5 incher.
5.2″ might be OK — like the G2 on which the Nexus 5 is based. But not any larger.
IMO this article is BS. 6 inch Nexus, that would make it a phablet bigger than the samsung galaxy note 3…. These rumors are called rumors for a reason. Why would Google make the nexus that big, come on guys!
7 hour battery life?
I routinely get 18+ on mine..
I agree!! My battery last my whole 8hr shift and more and that’s from listening to Pandora all night and searching the web on my lunch breaks..where is all this battery prob coming from?! Not from me or my bro who also has a N5.
My battery stays for more than 24 hours and I play games and listen music too. Nexus 5. If I don’t listen music or play game and just talk n use WhatsApp I have record of more than 36 hours.
Why the f would they do a six inch phablet. I call bs…..
Wtf, what is this site? Nexus 6 won’t even be available till November, there are zero credible rumors. And a 2k camera? Wtf? Nexus 5 already has a 13 megapixel camera.
Next time you write an article, please don’t have a monkey do your research for you.
Nexus 5 has an 8mp camera 😉
Oops, you are right. I should know considering I’ve bought so many of them haha.
