Sony’s newest phone Xperia Z3 comes with a Remote Play function that enables the user to connect to their PS4 and smart phones to enjoy a game. Sony unveiled its Xperia Z3 series at IFA 2014 in Berlin. The user has to download an application into the device and set up Remote Play with PS4. The use can enjoy the game on the big screen or on the phone provided that the two devices are using the same wireless network.
Remote Play is also available on Vita and PlayStation TV The series will launch in Autumn 2014. The Xperia series also includes Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. The smartphone is 2.5GHz Snapdragon quadcore processor which is slightly faster than its predecessor Xperia Z2. And gives a battery life of two days, its 20.7 megapixel camera has a wide angle lens and adcansed senor provide better low light performance and a wider canvas.
But Xperia Z3 retains the screen size and resolution of Xperia Z2, 5.2 inches and 1,920 by 1,080 pixels. The outdoor visibility has brightened though. The smartphone is also more round and thin than its predecessor.
For lovers of smaller devices the series present, Xperia Z3 Compact which has 4.6-inch, 720p touch screen. The processor is slightly slower than Xperia Z3, the RAM is 2GB while Xperia Z3 has 3GB, feature wise, they are the same.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is an 8-inch Android tablet, which is touted as the “world’s slimmest and lightest waterproof compact tablet.” It boasts of 8.1 megapixel back camera, 2.2 megapixel front camera and full HD touch screen. The processor and RAM is the same as the Xperia Z3, while the battery life lasts up to 13 hours of video playback.
Apart the Xperia Z3 series, Sony has also launched Xperia E3 Smartphone and two new wearables. Sony SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch 3.
